General objective:
The FSL Coordinator, as technical advisor, contributes to the development of the programmatic strategy by proposing a sector-based strategy in the field of Food Security and Livelihood (FSL).
He/she specifically guarantees the quality and suitability of proposed technical approaches and ensures the appropriateness of FSL activities and general SI objectives to the needs of the local populations.
He/she coordinates the project cycle and more particularly the operational monitoring of FSL programs implemented in the intervention country.
He/she contributes to the process of capitalization and the improvement of Solidarités International methods and techniques in the field of FSL

Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
Support ongoing FSL activities implementation Support the launching of potential WFP project: development of climate smart agriculture / farmer cooperatives Support to develop forecast-based climate information, support business development and VSLA (Village Savings and Loans Associations) Support recruitment of national FSL Program Managers in Mocimboa da Praia Support AFD APCC proposal writing Supports the analysis of value chains in fishery and agriculture / reinforcement of community groups and inclusion of local government actors. FSL Cluster representation FSL Strategy development
Your profile
Education / academic background:
University degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in a relevant field such as Agricultural Sciences, Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods
Specific skills and experience:
3-4 years of experience on a similar position 5 years or more in the humanitarian sector Knowledge and experience of FSL projects implementation Overall humanitarian programs coordination Agricultural profile oriented in Value chain support activities with experience in Business development. Knowledge of VSLA (Village Savings and Loans Associations) would be appreciated. Communication and inter-personal skills Solution-oriented mind set-up, looking into innovative approach Organizational capacities Training / capacity building skills
SI will offer you
A salaried position:
According to experience, starting from EUR gross per month ( base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD .
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.
Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one additional rest day per month worked.
Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.
LIVING CONDITIONS:
Life condition in Pemba are good: multiple restaurants with international and local cuisine, no electricity issues; variaty of sport activities are available in Pemba.
Potential degradation of the security context might result in reviewing the security rules/movement restrictions.
